Emotional Freedom Technique

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure, is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress.

It is believed that tapping on certain trigger points along the meridian lines in the body can create a balance in your energy system and treat pain.

Gary Craig, the man that developed EFT, says, " A disruption in energy is the cause of all negative emotions and pain."

The practice is similar to acupuncture and focuses on how the body channels energy, but instead of puncturing certain points along the meridian lines (highways of energy through the body), pressure is applied by tapping with your fingertips while repeating a short affirmation. This restores the balance of energy.

ETF has been an authorized therapy used on War veterans with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

 It has been successfully used to treat phobias, insomnia, depression, worry, anger, trauma, and other physical or psychological disorders.
